Photojournalism: PF Bentley
PF Bentley and Bill Clinton - Photographer unknown
Since 1980, photojournalist and documentary filmmaker PF Bentley has covered presidential campaigns and photographed presidential contenders including Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bob Dole, Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale, Geraldine Ferraro, Jesse Jackson, and Bill Clinton. He has been a special correspondent for Time and has been published in the New York Times Magazine and the Washington Post.
In the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Bentley photographed lawmakers in Washington, D.C., for Newsweek. Photographs from two of his in-depth assignments have been published in the books Clinton: Portrait of Victory and Newt: Inside the Revolution. He has traveled extensively, documenting international political turmoil in Cuba, Haiti, Panama, El Salvador, and South Korea. His photographic work in China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, and much of Europe is syndicated by Time magazine and has been featured in many of the Day in the Life book series.
Bentley donated his archive to the Briscoe Center in 2002.
