Title: Child’s moccasins
Description: Buckskin moccasins are made from one piece of leather and beaded using the lazy stitch technique: yellow, dark blue, turquoise blue, and red. Ankle flaps are decorated with green, beige and red silk backed by dark blue cloth. Moccasins are sewn with thread. Moccasins were acquired by Major Robert Neighbors for his children. Major Robert Neighbors was Superintendent of Texas Indians, 1845-1859. Donated by Mrs. R. S. Neighbors.
