Title: Scales Set
Description: Brown wooden box with a drawer that holds the parts to a balance. These brass parts are assembled and screwed into the top of the box to erect the balance. The weight trays, which hook onto the balance, are too large to fit in the drawer. Written inside the drawer in pencil is "Samuel." Three pairs of balances were given to present donor Gruber by Miss Lizwertz, former director of Grace Hall at UT. Balances were used by her grandfather.
