Title: Apothecary scales set
Description: Brown wooden with hinged top and hook latch. Box contains a handheld scale made of brass. A small square compartment holds brass weights ranging from 3 of an unknown unit through 2 drams. The interior of the box is lined with felt. Three pairs of balances were given to present donor Gruber by Miss Lizwertz, former director of Grace Hall at UT. Balances were used by her grandfather.
