He[?] was a Federal Spanish [illegible] here in San Antonio. He started out in Pleasanton, Texas as a [illegible] under Sheriff Avant. He had a [illegible] leg. Milam Wright started out as a Ranger 1900. He served with Capt. Roger, also Capt. Hughes. He left the rangers 1911 [illegible] U.S. Custom Patrol served in Comstock [illegible] Hancock in New Mexico. He left the Custom Service in 1930’s, ranched[?] in Mexico several years. Was appointed Sheriff [illegible] and died in [illegible] 1939. E. A. Wright
