When interest in cartes-de-visite began to wane, studios introduced a variety of larger photographs mounted on larger cards, including cabinet cards. The cabinet mount usually measured about 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches; its yellow appearance indicates a deterioration of the albumen layer. As in two of these examples, cabinets cards were often decorated or labelled with the name and location of the photographer.
