Winedale - Directions & Map
From Houston:
- Take 290 West
- At Carmine, turn LEFT off 290 onto Spur 458. (There is a small green highway sign with Round Top and left arrows.)
- Go about a mile down Spur 458 and take the fork to the RIGHT to Round Top.
- After about 6 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 1457 at the blinking light in Round Top.
- After about 3 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 2714. (There's both another green highway sign on the left side of the road with a left arrow and a big WINEDALE sign on the right of the road.)
- Drive 1 mile down the road. When you get to Winedale, there will be a split rail fence on the right. The visitor's center is on your left.
From Austin:
- 290 East through Elgin and Giddings
- At Carmine, turn RIGHT off 290 onto Spur 458. (There is a small green highway sign with Round Top and right arrows. There are also some greyish store fronts.)
- Go about a mile down Spur 458 and take the fork to the RIGHT to Round Top.
- After about 6 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 1457 at the blinking light in Round Top.
- After about 3 miles, turn LEFT onto FM 2714. (There's both another green highway sign on the left side of the road with a left arrow and a big WINEDALE sign on the right of the road.)
- Drive 1 mile down the road. When you get to Winedale, there will be a split rail fence on the right. The visitor's center is on your left.
