Materials in Action
Briscoe Center collections provide research materials for Glenn Frankel's new book, The Searchers: The Making of an American Legend
I spent many days at the Briscoe Center researching Cynthia Ann and Quanah Parker and their extended family and the 40-year conflict between Texans and Comanches. The archive materials were extensive, well-organized and accessible, and the staff was invariably friendly and helpful. My work took me to nearly 20 research centers and libraries throughout the United States----none offered a more productive and pleasant experience than the Briscoe Center and I'll always be grateful for their help.
