"An Evening With Morley Safer and Lesley Stahl"
AUSTIN, Tx. – The LBJ Presidential Library and Museum and The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History will host "An Evening With Morley Safer and Lesley Stahl" on September 16, 2010. In recognition of the special exhibit CRONKITE: Eyewitness to a Century, the CBS correspondents will share their personal memories of Walter Cronkite, his influence on their journalistic careers, and their experiences as correspondents for 60 Minutes.

Safer joined CBS News in 1964 and has served as a correspondent for 60 Minutes since 1970. Prior to joining 60 Minutes in 1991, Lesley Stahl served as CBS News White House correspondent, moderator of Face the Nation, and co-anchor of America Tonight. They have each received numerous accolades for journalistic excellence, including between them over a dozen Emmys, two Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence in Television.
