Winedale Evokes Old World Yuletide

(Round Top, Tx)--Winedale will host "A Winedale Christmas: A Nineteenth Century Celebration" on December 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.All activities are free and open to the public and complimentary refreshments will be served.

A horse-drawn stagecoach and haywagon will circulate the grounds while groups perform traditional German and American Christmas carols. Local children will perform The Second Shepherd's Play, a medieval drama.

Other activities include a barnyard petting zoo, crafts projects, Morris dancing, Old World crafts demonstrations, and a visit from Kris Kringle.

The historic structures will be decorated with handmade cedar garlands and items from Winedale's decorative arts collections.
