Despite the mounting Watergate crisis and the resignation of Spiro Agnew, an animated President Nixon enjoys a light moment at a White House East Room ceremony.
Did you know?
The East Room of the White House was designed to be the "Public Audience Room." The scene of many historic events, it's traditionally used for dances, concerts, weddings, press conferences and bill-signing ceremonies. The body of President Kennedy lay in state there following his assassination in 1963.
