The picture of the young Eurasian girl – the lovely young Eurasian girl taken in Saigon in 1985--is a photograph that, for me, causes me to think back. Thinking about the welfare of this child who is now 20 years later, if she's still alive, in her early thirties probably. And this is someone that you chance upon on an assignment and you take a picture. And then, when you see the picture, it's like, oh god, I feel so sorry for this person--I wish I could have done something for her. Whenever I see that picture, I think that. She was just lovely and she was almost emaciated. She lived on the streets of Saigon and I wonder what happened to her and if she is well. I hope so.
