Photograph Duplication Policy

The procedures to be followed by patrons seeking photographic reproductions from Center holdings

Use of Cameras

Patrons may only photograph newspapers, Texas city directories, Sanborn maps, and USGS maps with their own cameras (no scanners) for their personal research if their cameras have been cleared for use in the Reading Room by CAH Staff. This activity will take place under the direct supervision of CAH Staff. No flashes or additional light sources may be used, and items must remain flat. Patrons must complete the ITEMS PHOTOGRAPHED BY PATRONS form and should understand copyright restrictions.

For any other materials, cameras, digital cameras, and video equipment may only be used with special permission from the CAH Staff and by appointment.

 Permission to Publish

Patrons must seek, in writing, permission to publish reproductions of any CAH collection and must provide the CAH with a gratis copy of the final publication or other product that uses these reproductions.
