The Center has the ability to transfer and duplicate video among several formats in the three most common video standards: NTSC, PAL, and SECAM.| • | VHS | |

In addition the ability to transfer existing NTSC VHS video footage to the Video CD (VCD, MPEG-1) or DVD (MPEG-2) format for playback on a computer (Macintosh or Windows computer using Quicktime) or DVD player is available. (Note: Discs should work in most DVD players that can read VCD and DVD-R formats.)
Researchers interested in requesting a reproduction of moving image materials should complete a Microfilm and Audiovisual Duplication Worksheet (pdf) and submit the form by mail, fax or in person to Center staff.
Price
A labor fee of $15.00/hour is charged. Faculty and staff are charged a labor fee of $5.00/hour for transfers or duplication. A media fee of $2.00 for each CD-R disc, and $5.00 for each DVD-R or VHS video cassette supplied. You may provide your own recordable media. In addition to the above fees, the following preservation fees apply:
