Photocopies - Self Service
Some Center materials, including most, but not all, book, vertical file, and vertical file scrapbook materials and microfilmed materials may be copied by patrons using the public machines in the Information Services Area. The machines do not accept cash. Copycards are available for purchase at the Center.
Decisions are made on a case by case basis by the Reading Room staff, who will evaluate the condition of the items in question. No materials in manuscript boxes may be copied by patrons, including typescripts and printed materials contained within manuscript collections.
Scanners are not permitted in the reading room.
Cameras, digital cameras, video equipment, sound recording equipment, etc. may only be used with special permission from the CAH Staff and by appointment.
The Center for American History does not set the prices for photocopies at the public copier. For more information, visit the General Libraries' Copier and Printing Services Department.
