Reading Room
The Reference Services Unit of the Research and Collections Division provides assistance in accessing the wide variety of available materials at the Center. The Reading Room is open to all members of the faculty, students and staff of the University of Texas at Austin as well as visiting scholars, students, and members of the general public who agree to our regulations for use.
Circulation: Due to their unique natures, CAH materials are stored in closed stacks and may not be checked out; patrons request and use the materials in the Reading Room under staff supervision.
Reading Room Closures: While it is often not necessary to inform us when you will be arriving to do research, please verify the Center's hours before travelling to campus, since hours may change without much advance notice. The Reading Room occasionally closes for events and holidays; in such occurrences, announcements will be posted in the Reading Room, on the Reference Voice-mail, and/or online.
