Lorenzo de Zavala Papers, 1818–1926. 4 in.

The papers document de Zavala's role in the independence movement in Mexico and features letters from Antonio López de Santa Anna and José Antonio Mexía. Additionally, the papers contain correspondence documenting Zavala's attempt to acquire an empresario grant in Texas as well as other documents relating to land transactions. Finally, the papers contain biographical material on Lorenzo de Zavala, some probably produced by his daughter, Adina.
