Bonham, Texas—The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin proudly presents From FDR to JFK: Presidential Photographs from the Briscoe Center. The exhibit will be on display at the Sam Rayburn Museum, a division of the Briscoe Center, from March 11, 2015, to July 18, 2015.

This exhibit highlights the four presidents with whom Rayburn served as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives—Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and John F. Kennedy. In addition, the exhibit features images of some of the events and personalities that helped define each president's tenure, capturing the interaction of the president with his times.

The photographs are drawn from the Briscoe Center's photojournalism collections, which document American life through the lens of the news photographer. Foremost among the collections' strengths are images of the American presidency from the mid-twentieth century to the present. The Briscoe Center preserves the largest collection of photographs of the U.S. presidency outside of Washington, D.C., covering every presidency from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Barack Obama and documenting the entire scope of the institution, from campaigns to international diplomacy.
